CNC FAQ’s

What sort of machine do you have?

We have a 3 axis CNC router with a 2.5m x 1.3m bed. It is equipped with Automatic Tool Change and a Vacuum Bed for efficient part hold-down.

What materials can you machine?

We work predominantly with solid woods and wood based sheet materials – plywood, mdf, valchromat, OSB etc. We can also cut foam, acrylic, high pressure laminates, plastics, the list goes on

I don't have a CAD drawing - what do I do?

Talk to us. We can create the necessary files to work with as long as you can give us the correct details. Often a pencil sketch and some notes are enough. We can also produce 3D visualisations of a finished product.

How much does it cost?

This varies enormously depending on what’s being cut. A 2440mm x 1220mm sheet of basic, not too small components can be cut for around £40.00. The more cutting and machining operations required will increase this. If you’re looking to have regular runs of cutting done then talk to us – we like nothing more than building a relationship with our customers that works well for everyone.
